Steve Mason Alive! at The Barbican was a career

spanning retrospective featuring songs from Steve's

time in The Beta Band, King Biscuit Time and his

subsequent solo work, with specially-commissioned

arrangements by Joe. The 2 hour concert took place in

Jan 2017 performed by Steve and his band,

complemented by strings, harp, brass, percussion and

3 gospel singers.

The Times

Joe first collaborated with Steve at Festival no. 6 in

2014 with his resident 8 piece ensemble, then went on

to arrange and record brass and string parts for

Steve's last album 'Meet The Humans'.
