Joe's first collaboration with Cathal Smyth (aka Chas

Smash from Madness) took place at Portmeirion Town

Hall in Sep 2013. The 6 song set was Cathal's first

ever live performance of his forthcoming solo album A

Comfortable Man. Cathal was joined on stage by Joe

on guitar and an 8 piece ensemble.

Joe went onto to write choir and string arrangements

for a track on Cathal's album.

In Oct 2014 Joe & Cathal joined forces again for 3

nights at Wilton's Music Hall in London. Now with a

fully realised live set Cathal was joined on stage by a

10 piece ensemble and 8 piece choir, arrangements

by Joe. The performance was repeated at Bush Hall

on 14th May as part of the album release.
